Benita's Lesson of the Day: The Brighter Side of Life
Benita's Lesson of the Day: "Life is not a fairy tale but there's always a silver lining in every situation."
Sometimes in life unpleasant things happen that can be down right uncomfortable. But, I've found that no matter how bleak the situation, I can always find something good about it. When I focus on those good things, I feel a lot better about things and it helps me to put things in perspective.It doesn't always solve the problem to have this outlook but it sure makes me feel better. When I feel better, I can cope better and think about solutions with a clearer head. Remaining calm in the midst of adversity is half the battle. It's not always easy to do this but looking at the brighter side of life can help.

Benita's Lesson for the Day: Life is Precious
Benita's lesson for the Day: "Life is so precious! Please tell your loved ones that you love them everyday and cherish every moment together."
I recently lost a loved one suddenly and it made me realize how precious and short life is. We go through our day-to-day lives thinking we have plenty of time and that we always have tomorrow but in reality we don't have tomorrow. We don't know if today will be the last time we see our loved ones, live our lives or take our last breath. That's why it's so important to make everyday count and cherish each moment with our loved ones. Tell them you love them everyday and if you have a conflict with someone, try to resolve it the same day. It is a tragic thing to lose someone without letting them know how much you love them.

Benita's lesson for the day: "Life is the best teacher. Once you learn a lesson from life, you'll never forget it."
There are times in our lives that no matter what people say to us, we won't learn the lessons until we experience them for ourselves. It's not always a good thing because some lessons are more costlier than others. Sometimes the raw experience is the only way you'll learn a particular lesson. If you can learn from others' mistakes, it's always good to save yourself heartache, pain and disappointments. If not, life will teach you the lesson. It's not always pleasant or easy. The good news is that lessons are here to put us on the path to wisdom. Knowledge is power.
